Resting Tube

Upon dispersion of the solids in the liquid phase it is required that the crystal structure is given time to settle and develop the desired consistency. The time required by the structure to settle called the resting time is purely dependent on the blend used in the speciality fats and also defines the capacity of the resting tube. For instance, the capacity of the resting tube required for the manufacture of table margarine and similar products is generally much smaller than the required for puff pastry.

The resting tube manufactured at SIPEPL is a set of jacketed modular tubes of SS316 construction of different capacities. These tubes interconnected by flanges between modules with the capacity of these tubes ranging from 2.5 litres to 300 litres. Furthermore, the tubes are also provided with sieve plates with holes of different sizes between t he flanges to accommodate the production of different products using the same tube.
